The Scope: Design, manufacture, fit out and delivery of control panels to mobile crushing machines for a heap leach copper plant which was communicated with a master PLC control systems for the operation of the crushing plant, this project was broken up into two parts.

Design and construction of mobile crushing equipment panels with control gear and power equipment.

This plant was unique in design as it had a grass hopping conveyor system which plugged into each other in a series connection and a radial stacker at the end. The challenge for this project was that the client wanted to have the flexibility to replace any conveyor in the system with like for like and our design team came up with a simple control philosophy that talked to a PLC at the stacker and feed back the status of the system back to a master PLC which controlled the whole plant.

The power equipment was designed for 1000 Vac to accommodate with the volt drop and special rated plugs where used to help with the plug and play concept.

In summary the project was a great success for MVLV to show case its capabilities of providing clients with a turn key solution and delivering on what we promise.
