The Scope: Design, manufacture and install of medium voltage switchboard, LV Motor Control Centre MCC with DOL and feeder modules, isolation TX’s, PLC and communication cabinets, battery chargers and FM200 gas suppression.

This Switchroom was required as the supply substation for a new underground mining operation. It included a 3 tier back and front Leistung Energie 3000A rated Low Voltage Motor Control Centre, complete with auxiliary transformer, restricted earth fault detection and associated controls.

To provide supply to the mining operation, an 8 panel Leistung Energie 11kV AMS panel was provided to client specifications, including supply and installation of Schneider Easergy (SEPAM 80) protection relays with zero sequence (earth leakage) detection and protection.

MVLV also liaised with our sub-contractors and supplies to ensure suitable supply of fire indication, VESDA and suppression systems, 110V DC battery backup systems, PLC control panels and accessories, and communications infrastructure cabinets.

Finally, MVLV took it upon themselves to completely cable, test, terminate and factory commission all underfloor power, control and communications cabling in accordance with client specifications.

The project was finished with a very satisfied customer upon delivery to site by MVLV’s experienced and professional sub-contractors.
