The Scope: Design, manufacture and install of a 2500A rated motor control centre MCC with DOL, feeder and VSD/soft starter modules. This MCC was purposely built for a Filter Plant that will be used in the minerals resource sector.

This Motor Control Centre is 9 tiers long, with a massive 400kw Allen Bradley soft starter combined with its control gear taking up 2 tiers and a 160kw soft starter taking up another 1 tier.

This board is built into 3 shipping segments with a combined PLC and marshalling compartment which all the control IO is terminated into. The control wiring is internal to the board and drops down via the cable zone in each tier to its relevant modules.

The board is an X15 (electric) orange colour with a high gloss frame and has been type tested to the latest AS/NZS 61439 standards.

MVLV provided design, drafting, engineering and PLC termination design services with the eventual programming of the controller by others.

Termination and power supply drawings were provided for all field instruments and control devices.
