The Scope: Design and manufacture of 8 way 33kV ring main unit in outdoor IP kiosk style enclosure.

The Ring Main Unit was designed and manufactured in two parts, sharing a common SF6 gas tank.

Section one had 2 x 630A load switches and 2 x 630A VCB circuit breakers.

Section two had 4 x 630A VCB circuit breakers.

The 630A rated RMU was designed and rated to 20kA fault level. This RMU was installed into an IP56 enclosure and were designed and certified to meet cyclone ratings for its region.

The board is an RAL 7035 Grey colour.

MVLV provided design, drafting, engineering and manufactured the RMU using our key supplier’s products.
